For personal and professional endeavors, I have spent considerable time in Delhi. In addition to the city's diverse historical and cultural identity, little compares to Delhi's shopping scene. From luxury brands in DLF Emporio to handicrafts and antiques in Sundar Nagar, India's capital is overflowing with markets, malls, and bazaars. Many travelers visit Dilli Haat, an open-air market that features both permanent and transitional vendors. The space, designed to resemble a traditional village market, was created to showcase products from across India. Another popular spot is Paharganj, known locally as the Hippie Market. Located near the New Delhi Railway Station, Paharganj offers bargain-friendly bags, shoes, clothes, textiles, incense, jewelry, and more.
Delhi is a bustling metropolis that incorporates the ancient with the modern. The capital city is brimming with eclectic neighborhoods, historic monuments, garden parks, and...snow? Welcome to Ski India, Asia's largest indoor snow park. Offering a ski track, bobsleds, ice skating, ice lounge, and interactive play area, the sci-fi themed attraction is sure to excite and inspire children of all ages.
Greetings, travelers! I am packing my bags and headed to India and Nepal tomorrow. I have been invited to attend the Incredible India Travel Bazaar (IITB) in Delhi, followed by some work and play in the Kathmandu Valley. Follow my journey by connecting with Sodha Travel on social media - I love to stay in touch with travelers during my adventures abroad!
Located only 20 miles outside of Delhi, Gurgaon is one of the fastest growing cities in India. It currently has the third highest per capita income in the country. Gurgaon's landscape is scattered with large malls, modern business complexes, and high-rise apartment buildings. Although the city caters to business professionals - 250 of the Fortune 500 companies have a base in Gurgaon - there are also acclaimed restaurants, hotels, and sites to explore. Here are a few of my favorite experiences in and around Gurgaon:

Tomorrow, August 15th, is India's Independence Day. As the capital of India, Delhi will understandably have the largest celebration in the country. Delhi is a bustling metropolis that incorporates the ancient with the modern and the monuments stand as a silent reminder of India's legacy. Many attractions in the city incur an entrance fee, with different rates for Indian and foreign nationals. However, there are also many free activities to enjoy in India's capital and 22nd largest city in the world. Here are five of my favorite free traveler experiences in Delhi:
Last post, I was excited to announce our newest women-only tour: Colors of India. Just a few days ago, we also added a new Featured Tour: Legacy of Leh/Ladakh. Ladakh is a remote region in Northern India, located between the Himalayan and Kunlin mountain ranges. Historically a Buddhist kingdom, Ladakh was strategically placed at the crossroads of major trading routes. The region is commonly called "Little Tibet" and many travelers have discovered this destination as an alternative to visiting the disputed territory of Tibet.
