In the past few months, I have been spreading the word about the upcoming SAWERA Fundraiser. I believe this cause is very important, so here is one more reminder! SAWERA, the South Asian Women's Empowerment and Resource Alliance, provides free, confidential, and culturally sensitive services to South Asian women and children who are experiencing domestic violence in the state of Oregon. The annual gala will be held on November 5th at the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland. Join us for a wonderful evening of dinner, dancing, and most importantly, fundraising!

This year, SAWERA is also excited to present Belly Dance Soulfire as the featured entertainment. This talented group of dancers hope to inspire all to embrace and accept all forms of beauty, help women to feel more comfortable in their skin, and to promote cultural awareness and global healing.
