Sodha Travel, Inc. arranges tours and itineraries for personal, business and group travel as an agent for the organizations it represents. For various reasons, Sodha Travel, Inc. may find it necessary to alter travel itineraries. Changes may be made without penalty or liability against Sodha Travel. Sodha Travel accepts no responsibility for accidents, acts or hostilities of governments or authorities, acts of God, strikes or damage, wars, civil disturbances, riots, defects or breakdown of equipment or vehicles, or to the fault or default of any company used for carrying out these tours.
Sodha Travel, Inc. reserves the right at any time to refuse or cancel service to any passenger based on behavior or other circumstances without being under obligation to assign a reason. In the event this occurs, Sodha Travel, Inc., nor its affiliations including tour operators and transport drivers, will be held liable. Sodha Travel will not refund any portion of the tour if a passenger is refused service.
Sodha Travel disclaims all responsibility or liability over services, accommodations, and any other matter pertaining to any for loss, damage, injury or expense to person or property. Sodha Travel, Inc. and/or its agents can accept no responsibility for losses and accidental expenses due to changes in schedules, for any reason, including sickness, weather, strikes, terrorism, war, or quarantine. All such losses or expenses will be the responsibility of the passengers.
Sodha Travel, Inc. is not responsible for any criminal conduct by the passenger or third parties. Sodha Travel, Inc. is not be responsible for delays, substitution or cancellations of equipment, or any act by airlines, hotels, transport services, or any person or organization providing services and/or accommodations to passengers. Also, they will not be deemed liable for loss or damage to property or baggage, injury, illness, or death.
Sodha Travel, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any travel itinerary, for any reason, prior to departure and cannot be held responsible for any damages resulting from the applicable cancellation. In case of travel cancellation by Sodha Travel, a full refund of the amount paid to Sodha Travel will be offered.
Any dispute arising from these tours/services shall be litigated only in the courts of Oregon, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
All medical costs are the sole responsibility of the passenger. For added coverage, Sodha Travel provides optional travel insurance that covers the cost of medical services and treatment while overseas. Sodha Travel, Inc. is not responsible for any costs incurred by any medical treatment, including prescriptions, surgeries, or emergency procedures. Nor shall Sodha Travel, Inc. be liable in regard to circumstances due to illness, injury, damage to the physical body, malpractice, or death of any passenger.
Sodha Travel offers optional travel insurance with Travel Insured. Depending on your desired coverage, you may select from several plans, including comprehensive coverage that reimburses travel costs due to trip cancellation. The cost of travel insurance is the responsibility of the passenger. Certain plans require purchase at the time of reservation. Contact Sodha Travel for more information regarding costs and timelines of travel insurance. Sodha Travel, Inc. is not liable for any costs or changes regarding travel insurance purchased through Travel Insured, nor is Sodha Travel liable for any costs or changes regarding travel insurance from an outside source purchased independently by the passenger.
If requested, Sodha Travel will provide airline reservations. Flight schedules are subject to change without notice. Sodha Travel, Inc. cannot be held responsible for damage and/or cost incurred by delays or changes regarding your reservation, flight schedule or airline travel. Nor shall Sodha Travel, Inc. be liable for any damage resulting directly or indirectly from delays, cancellation or changes in flights.
AIRPORT TAXES: If a passenger requests airfare, Sodha Travel will provide a comprehensive quote, including taxes and surcharges. However, airport taxes are subject to change without notice. Sodha Travel, Inc. is not responsible for these charges. If taxes cannot be prepaid, passengers will be notified to pay them directly to local authorities.
FUEL SURCHARGES: Sodha Travel will provide a comprehensive quote for airfare, including taxes and surcharges. However, fuel charges are at the discretion of the airline and may change without notice. Sodha Travel, Inc. is not responsible for these charges. We will notify the passenger with any changes regarding fuel surcharges and collect appropriate payment regarding said charges.
FREQUENT FLYER MILES: Sodha Travel, Inc. takes no responsibility in crediting and/or providing air miles to your designated program. It is the responsibility of the passenger to contact the airline with regulations regarding air miles.
BAGGAGE: Sodha Travel, Inc. is not liable for any cost due to loss, theft, damage, or delay of baggage or personal items during travel. It is the responsibility of the passenger to pay any necessary costs for baggage over the weight regulated by the airlines.
PASSPORT: A passport is required for all US citizens traveling abroad and must be valid for at least 6 months after your date of return. Sodha Travel must receive your passport copy 30 days prior to departure. Be sure to sign your new passport before sending any applicable photocopies. For security reasons, the name on your passport must exactly match the name on your reservation with Sodha Travel.
VISA: A visa is required for travel to India and other countries as specified. It is the responsibility of each traveler to obtain this visa prior to departure. Visa fees are not included in the tour price. Sodha Travel must receive a copy of your visa 15 days prior to departure. Sodha Travel is not liable for any passenger denied boarding on any airline and/or denial of entering or exiting a country due to an invalid, incorrect, or expired visa.
Sodha Travel selects all hotel accommodations. Room rates are based on double occupancy. Single rooms require a supplement. Prior to departure, you will receive a detailed list of all the accommodations on your tour, including contact information.
It is the responsibility of the passenger to review hotel facilities prior to reservation. If a passenger requests a hotel change after a reservation is made, a penalty may occur. This cost shall be incurred by the passenger and not Sodha Travel.
HOTEL CHANGES: Hotels are subject to change without notice. If changes occur, Sodha Travel will do whatever possible to meet or exceed the listed accommodations. Sodha Travel, Inc. is not liable for the condition and/or location of properties.
MEALS: Unless otherwise stated, breakfast is included in all tour packages. Additional meals, beverages and personal items are the responsibility of the passenger and must be paid to the hotel at checkout. Sodha Travel, Inc. is not responsible for any hotel balances left unpaid.
All touring and transfers are provided by cars and buses, unless otherwise requested by the passenger. All entrance fees to places visited in the itinerary are included except those mentioned as optional. Sodha Travel has no liability if changes are made to the itineraries at the discretion of the local land operator.
TRANSFERS: A transfer is defined as a pick-up and drop-off service for passengers, accompanied by a representative and vehicle. Transfers are included in all price quotes, unless otherwise stated. Sodha Travel does its best to provide modern vehicles with air-conditioning during all transfers. However, unspecified circumstances beyond our control sometimes prohibit certain vehicle availability. If this occurs, Sodha Travel will do what is possible to make arrangements for a similar or upgraded vehicle. We make no guarantees that a certain category of vehicle will be provided. Sodha Travel has no liability if changes are made to the vehicle at the discretion of the local land operator.
DAMAGES: Sodha Travel, Inc. will not be responsible for any damages to vehicles or personal property during transfers and touring. Similarly, Sodha Travel, Inc. is not responsible for any costs incurred due to vehicle accidents, including damage to the vehicle or medical expenses.
Reservation forms can be completed on our website under the Reservations link. A 30% deposit, per person, is required to reserve a package. We accept payments by check, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Secure Credit Card payments can be made using our Reservations page. If you prefer to pay your deposit by check, we strongly recommend overnight delivery, as your reservation cannot be confirmed without receipt of your deposit.
DEPOSITS: Per Person: 30% of land package and 100% of airfare.
Land Package: We will do everything possible to change your original reservation. However, this may result in a change fee, paid by the passenger. We cannot accept changes within 15 days of departure.
Airfare: We will do everything possible to change your original reservation. However, this may result in a change fee paid by the passenger. If no seats are available on the changed date of travel, it will be the responsibility of the passenger to accommodate a revised schedule. We cannot accept changes within 15 days of departure.
Land Package: Cancellation requests must be made in writing. Depending on the tour package and time of cancellation, a refund may be offered to the passenger. We do not offer a standard refund policy. Each policy is dependent on package variables and will be provided in writing once a package is reserved. We regret that no money can be refunded if cancellation is made less than 45 days prior to departure. To protect your purchase, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
Airfare: We regret that no refund is offered for air travel. Depending on the airline, it may be possible to change the travel date and/or apply the amount toward future travel itineraries. This may result in a change fee, paid by the passenger. No guarantees can be made. To protect your purchase, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
LATE FEES/AIRFARE: For each day past the due date stated on the authorization form, a late fee of $20 will be assessed. If no payment is made within 20 days of travel, the ticket will will be cancelled by Sodha Travel. Any additional cancellation fees imposed by the airline will be the responsibility of the passenger and added to the final invoice.
LATE FEES/LAND PROGRAM: For each day past the final payment due date stated on the invoice, a late fee of $20 will be assessed. If no final payment is made within 30 days of travel, all services will be cancelled by Sodha Travel. Any additional cancellation fees imposed by the vendors, hotels, or other suppliers including Sodha Travel will be the responsibility of the passenger and added to the final invoice.
ABANDONED SERVICES: Unused services cannot be refunded once the trip has begun. No refund can be made for the absence of passengers from any part of the tour.
DOCUMENTS: Final travel documents will be sent approximately 10 days prior to departure. If paper documents are required, a fee will apply if being shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, or outside the United States.
TOUR EXCLUSIONS: Unless otherwise stated, the tour price does not include the following: United States and foreign airport taxes and fees, excess baggage charges, any insurance, passport and visa fees, gratuities, optional tours, beverages, any items of a personal nature or any such items not listed in the itinerary.
Certain itineraries with Sodha Travel involve intense physical activity. The adventures are at the complete and total discretion of the passenger. It is the responsibility of the passenger to comply with the regulations and restrictions. Passengers may be required to sign a disclaimer stating provisions and conditions involving activity. Forms must be completed prior to departure. Sodha Travel, Inc. and any organizations it represents may prohibit certain passengers from participating in adventure tours according to various circumstances. Sodha Travel, Inc. is not responsible for any damage, injury, illness, or death resulting from any variable during adventure tours.
