Greetings, travelers! Yesterday I visited Koh Tachai, a small, uninhabited island located in Similan Islands National Park. Reachable one hour by speedboat from Khao Lak, the stunning beaches, aquamarine waters, and natural landscape make it one of the most pristine islands in the region.
Visitors can walk the nature trail to view chicken crabs and hermit crabs or enjoy a short hillside hike to a viewpoint overlooking the cliffs. There are also several pristine snorkeling spots, and marine life includes manta rays, leopard sharks, and sea turtles.
Koh Tachai is less visited compared to Phi Phi, Similan, or Surin, making the excursion an excellent option for straying from the crowds. An advantage to booking the Tachai Island by Speedboat with Sodha Travel is that you arrive early in the morning before any other islands hoppers!
