Ahmedabad Arrival

Namaste. Welcome to Gujarat! Ahmedabad was a major base camp during the Indian freedom struggle. Mahatma Gandhi built his ashram on the outskirts of the city. Today, Ahmedabad remains a strong representation of non-violence and has become one of the most industrialized cities in India. Evening at leisure and overnight.

Ahmedabad

After breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of Ahmedabad. Visit Sabarmati Ashram, Gandhi's ashram and the starting place of the notable Dandi March; Tribal Museum, housing tribal artifacts and objects; Calico Textile Museum, a collection of traditional Indian prints and dyes; and the Kite Museum, a display of kites that depict India's history. Overnight in Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad - Dasada

Drive to Dasada, en-route visiting Patan and Modhera. In Patan, explore the Rani ki Vav, seven galleries that contain exquisite sculptures of Gods and Goddesses. Also visit the Patola Silk Center and observe the complex weaving of Patan, one of the finest hand-woven textiles. In Modhera, visit the famous Sun Temple. Built in 1012 AD, the Sun Temple is one of the finest examples of devotion in Western India.

Continue to Dasada, also known as Little Rann of Kutch. Dasada is a geographically diverse landscape offering magnificent wildlife viewing opportunities and colorful villages. Overnight in Dasada.

Dasada

After an early breakfast, enjoy a jeep safari to view the wildlife in India's second largest wildlife sanctuary. Due to the high content of salt in the water, the area has no human population. In the afternoon, visit nearby tribal villages of shepherds and experience an authentic flavor of Gujarat. Overnight in Dasada.

Dasada - Bhuj

After breakfast, drive to Bhuj. Famous for its Kutch style of architecture, Bhuj is also known for Rann Utsav, a desert festival, and its traditional handicrafts and embroidery. In the afternoon, visit the Katch Museum, the oldest museum in Gujarat. Later explore the markets. Overnight in Bhuj.

Bhuj

Full day excursion to the Banni Villages and view the famous art and craftsmanship of the tribal communities. Overnight in Bhuj.

Bhuj - Gondal

After breakfast, drive to Gondal. The capital of a former princely state, Gondal was ruled by the Jadeja Rajput Clan until the independence of India. It is a fortified town on the Gondali River and houses monumental forts alongside modern structures. In the evening, take a tour of the Palace grounds and view the largest private collection of vintage cars. Overnight in Gondal.

Gondal - Diu

After breakfast, drive to Diu, en-route visiting Somnath. According to legend, the Temple of Somnath is as old as creation itself, built by the Moon God. Continue to Diu and check into the hotel. Diu is a charming town on the Arabian sea, blending historical monuments and coral beaches. Overnight in Diu.

Diu

Day at leisure to relax on the beautiful beaches of Diu. Overnight in Diu.

Diu - Bhavnagar

After breakfast, drive to Bhavnagar, en-route visiting the Palitana Jain Temples. The spires of 863 temples pierce the clouds on the summit of Shatrunjay hill, capturing the essence of eternity. Upon arrival in Bhavnagar, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Bhavnagar.

Departure

Today, transfer to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival, connect to your onward flight. Bon Voyage!
