The Maldives
The Republic of Maldives is an oasis of paradise in the Indian ocean. 1,190 coral islands are spread over 26 atolls, which gives the Maldives its unique appearance. Long considered an exclusive vacation locale solely for the extremely wealthy, the Maldives is slowly becoming more popular among general travelers. To visit these islands is to experience an untouched splendor of tranquility.
Day 1: Male Welcome to the Maldives! Your flight arrives in Male, the capital and center of trade, government, education and healthcare. Male, with a population of 75,000, is a small island buzzing with culture and activity. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Mookai hotel.
